Bill Bussau, Treasurer

To say I am a golf tragic is a bit of an understatement. This occurred after my accident over 11 yrs ago. I was a keen tennis player and an occasional golfer but becoming an above knee Amputee, and with limited movement in my other ankle, I soon realised, tennis was over for me. I was quite despondent whilst in rehab, until I saw an Amplified magazine highlighting the upcoming Amputee Australian Golf open to be held in Melb. I suddenly realised that could be my future. It took a while but I got into golf after all my rehab finished. I play at least 3 times a week at Rosanna Golf Club (prior to Covid) and have played in every Aussie Open since 2016. My golf is considerably better than pre Amputation, as i don't hit it as far into the trees , like I did prior. I look forward to seeing you at one of our AGV social event once this Covid problem subsides.

Kath Tanner, Committee

Kath loves golf…not just chasing that tiny white ball around a vast expanse of greenery, but more importantly the friendships, camaraderie and opportunities that have arisen from her involvement in Amputee golf.

In addition to being an AGVic Board member, she is a board member of AGNSW (Amputee Golf NSW), as well as being on Golf Australia’s Women & Girls engagement advisory committee. Kath is also an accredited Golf Australia Community and All Abilities Coach. She would love to see more women amputees become involved in golf throughout Australia.

Jason Homan, Committee

Jason is a new member of the board, and brings a fresh perspective to the table. Jason developed a love of golf a few years ago, and joined the amputee community shortly after. He found the community to be welcoming and supportive, and has become more involved and passionate about golf and made great friendships.

Shaun Bakker, Committee
